Peter Ridge wins in Veracruz - Puebla

After only 9 km of Veracruz - Puebla, 2 riders got away from the peloton, which had a hard time cooperating. The two riders, Peter Ridge (BGK Cycling Team) and Florian Vermeesch (Millican), kept increasing their lead and it seemed like it would no end take. Late in the race, too late, the peloton started speeding up, but the victory was already in the hands of the two break awayers. When the finishing line was near, Peter Ridge and Florian Vermeesch had a small chat before starting the sprint. Peter Ridge launched the sprint, but Florian Vermeesch quickly passed him by looking as the winner. As Florian Vermeesch thought the victory was his, Peter Ridge made an amazing come-back and managed to be the first rider of Veracruz - Puebla to cross the finishing line.
As the peloton got near the end of the stage, another rider (Namejs Lode from Sanchx) tried his luck for the third place. He safely created a small gap between him and the peloton, which was just enough for him to claim the third place.
BGK Cycling Team's Peter Ridge was happy for the win. Today was me and my team's day. This win is not only important for me, but also for the team! said Peter Ridge.
BGK Cycling Team's manager, Tacticman, was satisfied after the result in Veracruz - Puebla. Peter Ridge did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Peter Ridge had the power to win, said the manager.
