Donaldas Maciulevicius swips victory

Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Pechora Grand Prix. One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed.
When the final climb was near, Ekranas and Abel Rodie made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (3S4U) launched an attack, which Abel Rodie (Team airik) and Donaldas Maciulevicius (Ekranas) easily countered.
Federico Vicario lost Abel Rodie's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Donaldas Maciulevicius had a close sprint with Abel Rodie. Donaldas Maciulevicius was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Abel Rodie only a few inches behind. Federico Vicario, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later.
Donaldas Maciulevicius was happy with the result. It has been my dream for a long time to win this stage, and finally I succeed, said the smiling winner.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Donaldas Maciulevicius did a perfect job today, said Dovydas, manager of Ekranas, after the race.
