Perfect debut for Salvatore Galluzzo

With lovely weather in Iran, all the riders were ready to do their best in Bandar-e-Bushehr - and som certainly did. Gerrit von Schmerling from FC BIRN went away from the peloton after only 9 km.
The peloton kept the tempo high, and Gerrit von Schmerling slowly lost his lead. When the peloton reached him, after 9 2 km, Salvatore Galluzzo (team runny) and Isaak Fuhrmann (Wiedenbrücker SC 17) launched a counter attack. Gerrit von Schmerling's first attempt didn't stop him from joining the break away, which afterwards slowly increased the lead.
When 10 km of the stage were left, the three riders in the break away were quite sure to go all the way to the finishing line alone. Their thoughts later became doubts, as the peloton got closer and closer. On the final kilometre, the 3 riders could see the peloton behind them, as they gave everything they could.
Isaak Fuhrmann launched an attack, which Gerrit von Schmerling easily countered despite his hard work on the stage. For Salvatore Galluzzo it was a littler harder to follow, but later he simply proved to be faking. Isaak Fuhrmann couldn't follow the new tempo set by Salvatore Galluzzo, and neither could Gerrit von Schmerling. Salvatore Galluzzo safely sprinted to victory and raised his arms while crossing the finishing line. Behind him, about the length of two bikes away, Gerrit von Schmerling was slightly faster than Isaak Fuhrmann, who seemed to have no more power left after trying to attack earlier.
I'm still in shock. When the attack started earlier today, I didn't expect to end up as winner, said the happy team runny rider, Salvatore Galluzzo. Only at the very end, I realized that this could be my chance, and so it was.
The stage couldn't turn out any better than this. Salvatore Galluzzo did a perfect job today, said john D, manager of team runny, after the race.
