The tough and steep time trial, Coustouges ITT, was very exciting, as nothing was termined before the final riders finished. Tomás Felix (Team Siverbo) set the best time when he finished the stage, while Taurino Arzu (Auro team) came in only a few seconds slower. As everyone thought Tomás Felix would win, the split times suddenly showed that one of the last 5 riders had the possibility of winning. Stefan Heinrich of Loithletics ended up beating Tomás Felix with no more than 5 seconds, which insured him the stage win on the steep time trial.
Stefan Heinrich was happy for his victory in Coustouges ITT. I've trained a lot and aimed to win this race, and now suddenly it happened! said the satisfied winner.
Loithletics's manager, Helmbrecht, was satisfied after the result in Coustouges ITT. Stefan Heinrich did very well today. Everything turned out as we planned it, and Stefan Heinrich had the power to win, said the manager.
