Felix Dávila fastest in Tripolis Hills

Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of Tripolis Hills. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by jmtoler, who were supporting Khampheng Malivanh. Right behind the riders of jmtoler was Felix Dávila and Demirci Sevki lurking. Khampheng Malivanh looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Demirci Sevki launched an attack, only Felix Dávila could follow. Felix Dávila made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Khampheng Malivanh caught up Demirci Sevki once again. Felix Dávila secured his victory without problems, while Khampheng Malivanh was faster in the sprint than Demirci Sevki.
The climbs today were tough, but I felt good all day, said Felix Dávila after winning. I loved the ending of the stage. It was when I saw the ending of the route I knew that I could win. It was perfect for me.
The manager of jmtoler was proud of his rider today. Felix Dávila has been training and preparing himself for this race. It's an important victory - both for Felix Dávila but also for the team.
