Terrell Byrd did it

Many climbs, a sunny day and several attacks shaped the race in Grande Prémio do Barlavento. One after another, the riders tried to break away from the main group, though no one could succeed.
When the final climb was near, Baccala and Jakob Bekkevold made sure no one could attack by setting a high tempo in the lead. At the end of the climb, only the strongest climbers were in front. With 1.5 kilometres to go, (CCFC) launched an attack, which Jakob Bekkevold (Bilsky) and Terrell Byrd (Baccala) easily countered.
Joos Van Huffel lost Jakob Bekkevold's wheel when the sprint was launched, and Terrell Byrd had a close sprint with Jakob Bekkevold. Terrell Byrd was the fastest in the sprint, leaving Jakob Bekkevold only a few inches behind. Joos Van Huffel, who had no power left for the sprint, secured his third place only 3 seconds later.
I'm happy the team picked me for the stage. I knew I could do it (win), and I wanted to prove it as well, said the happy winner who continued with a smile on his face: My preparations were perfect, I had a perfect day, and I won!.
The manager of Baccala was proud of his rider today. Terrell Byrd has been training and preparing himself for this race. It's an important victory - both for Terrell Byrd but also for the team.
