Anbessa Cordova, squadra sora, was the fastest rider among the participants in the individual time trial race, (Stage 1 of Monte Rosa Tour). Anbessa Cordova was incredible fast on the final kilometres, as he was only second at the last split time. Infront of him was Wizzyweb's Piet Sligter who became second overall on the stage. Another interesting name was Oscar Parvulescu from Wizzyweb who started out with an incredible tempo, which he of course couldn't keep going. He lost many important seconds on the second part of the route, which moved him to the third place overall.
Anbessa Cordova was happy for his victory. I've trained a lot and aimed to win this race, and now suddenly it happened! said the satisfied winner.
It's good to see Anbessa Cordova fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of squadra sora, kilbane.
