Even Driehoeks management was so impressed that they decided to signup at the Zyte Time Trial center in far away England and sent Stiver for two expensive trips.
Despite all this excitement Stiver still started racing like all Driehoek riders of his generation; as a team mate of Athony Dabe. But when Norway tour came around (season 37) Driehoeks management took a gamble and put the young talent forward as their leader.
To everybody's surprise Stiver managed to win the long TT and performed well enough in the mountains to earn his first two jerseys (GC and YC). The 'decent climber' was on his way to the Bermudian Hall of Cycling Legends.
Now, at the end of his career Stiver holds a proud 8th place on the list of riders with most individual awards (8 jerseys, 2 trophies). He won an amazing 34 victories and got 42 other major results. One of the most noteworthy wins was the Con of Rio de Janeiro of season 35, where the Bermudian national team hosted 6 Driehoek riders.
