Affectionately known as "Lord" , he rode to victory in 3 tours and was ranked number 1 rider in Australia for 6 seasons. He was the first and still the only rider to win both Germany Tour and the Volta ao Porto.
Scothern rode his whole career for the Telstra team and finishes his riding career after 380 races, he will continue to work with team in his retirement.
