The race starts and ends in the very heart of Stockholm. The 170km route lead all cyclists southwards before taking a turn and heading back into the city. While there are no major climbs, the course profile is not to be underestimated and features many smaller inclines that make the course a challenging one to complete. So regardless of whether you’re a climber, downhiller, hiller or rouleur – The riders will find plenty of opportunity to display there strengths at Stockholm Tour.
From the Stockholm city center the peloton will ride against Nacka, before going down to Tyresö and Vendelsö. But the riders will not turn back to Stockholm before they are in Nynäshamn. Nynäshamn, which lies about 60 km south of Stockholm, is well known for being one of the places on the Swedish mainland from where ferries to the island Gotland depart. This is a hugely popular destination for Swedes of all ages in the summer months.
On the way back to Stockholm the course will go true Sorunda and Jordbro. Beautiful surroundings and sea proximity give the riders a stunning experience on the bike. The finish in the heart of Sweden’s biggest city is in front of thousands of spectators. This is guaranteed to give the riders goosebumps when they cross the finish line.
