In this 29km loop around the lake, cyclists first head along the west side of the lake and past the local golf course, before heading north away from the lake and into the hills. Riders then face a short, sharp climb past an old and now abandoned Buddhist temple, up to a mountain tea plantation. Riders then descend back to the lake and face a relatively flat and fast lakeside route back to the start.
