The race travels through the Þjóðvegur 1 or the ring road of Iceland as it transverses through Akureyri , passing through the Brugghusbarinn and the Hof, the performance center. Riders should take note of the heavy winds and splash from the waves as they pass the bridge of the 'pollurinn' of the fjord Eyjafjörður.
The race finishes with a very tough steep climb of the mountain in the opposite side of the Fjord and a view of the town below.
