While in Season 54, it had taken a whole 87 days for World Communism Team to finally register a win. Season 55 went off with an explosive start, with the team already ironically scoring a win on day 2. As promising hill sprinter Michel Ngabo dominated the field at Várzea Grande - Barra do Bugres and achieved a very convincing win in this Division 6 race.
Also noteworthy that his fellow hill sprinter Kuumba Rusesabagina, while riding as part of his sprint train, managed to cross the line in 5th position and add some more points and prize money for the team in this very successful day on the road.
Following this more than successful season opener, the team made its way to Europe to race in early season Division 5 Classic Classico di Siracusa with only modest ambitions for youngster André Tié Bi racing as a captain for the very first time. In a race with too few difficulties to be a perfect fit for a profile like his. Nevertheless, the promising Ghanaian showed interesting qualities and finished the Classic in 8th place, recording a second official result for the team in as many races in Season 55.
The next few races were only approached for the more junior riders in the squad to have their chances at early breakaway attacks, and for some of the domestiques to get the space to ride as occasional captains, so to give all riders the opportunity to ride for themselves and maintain the team spirit in the squad while keeping the riders in shape.
All while attempting to make the downward cut to Division 6 in time for sign up for the ever elusive Cesko-Slovensky Pohar, an important occasion in the lower divisions hills calendar and a season objective for the World Communism Team.

Thanks everyone.
@Fedor making OCM history one season at the time.
@Robert this time I am counting all my points carefully. I reckon I should make it just in time, in and out. But well it wouldn't be my first time missing the mark.
Nice start to the season. I hope you maintain that pace this season, even with the hopeful drop. I missed my first tour this season due a unexpected drop due to teams around me collecting more points then expected. I was only down 48hrs but it was enough to miss the sign-up. Hopefully you can sign up for the Cesko-Slovensky Pohar (they couldn't make that much hard to type out)
Great stuff.
