All rounder Daniel Niedziela (24) completed his training earlier this season with a visit to the TT centre. And even though he isn’t fantastic at anything, he is quite good at a lot of things and this season is proving to be a versatile option as an alternative captain to Hagen Hunzberger in some races.
He has achieved three one-day wins and also led the team on the Tour of the Sanreizan. An off day on the TT spoiled his chances of a GC top nine, but he still managed 3rd on Stage 3, 5th on Stage 2, 6th on Stage 1 and 10th overall.
It’s uncertain whether he can perform any higher than the lower divisions. Probably not but the Locknuts have never been above Division 5, and for now he is taking some pressure off Hunzberger until the next big prospect comes along.
