Fairfax Hundley did it

Early on the stage, five optimistic riders attacked on the first climbs of Linares - Jaén. They managed to keep a gap between them and the peloton until they reached the final climb. At the bottom of the climb, the group of favourites passed them. Rider by rider, they couldn't keep up with the tempo set by Szirmai Világos, who were supporting Csoknay Aurél. Right behind the riders of Szirmai Világos was Fairfax Hundley and Hernan Brizeno lurking. Csoknay Aurél looked strong, and seemed to have a good day, but when Hernan Brizeno launched an attack, only Fairfax Hundley could follow. Fairfax Hundley made a counter-attack and was suddenly alone in the front, as Csoknay Aurél caught up Hernan Brizeno once again. Fairfax Hundley secured his victory without problems, while Csoknay Aurél was faster in the sprint than Hernan Brizeno.
The climbs today were tough, but I felt good all day, said Fairfax Hundley after winning. I loved the ending of the stage. It was when I saw the ending of the route I knew that I could win. It was perfect for me.
It's good to see Fairfax Hundley fulfilling his ambitions winning this stage. He deserves the victory more than anyone else, said the proud manager of Burren Connemara, Cillian Cassidy, and continued: The team was a good support for him (Fairfax Hundley) today, and he clearly proved his worth in the break away today.
