When the new season starts we all have a shot on glory again. Usually on the normal calender and sometimes on the icons of the division we are in, the so called classics. We are experiencing a so called classic this week. We have the Top division classic Alpe d`Huez Classic and the less known but just as important, the Danish, Rundt om Vejle. It is not important because there is a trophy involved, its importance is to be discovered after you have won it.

We are in Velje to see this monument of a race and watch the new teams participate and battle eachother on the roads and the infamous Kiddesvej, a steep hill the riders need to pass a couple of times to wear them out and test them for what is to come. We are to visit the OCM headquarters and thus had to pass on the invitation of visiting

the Alpe d`Huez Classic. It is interesting to see what type of teams race in division 10. We have French, Italian and Portuguese teams but also from Macau, the United Arab Emirates and Argentina.

The idea behind Rundt om Vejle is to give teams in division 10 a boost. Organised by the OCM headquarters and sponsored with a large amount of money, this race can propel a teams future. Prizemoney that exceeds many other races and equal points, winning this race would mean instant promotion of at least one division. This would give the management a boost and this year it was the team of the United Arab Emirates SpaceRacers that beat all the others with their rider Ayman Dawud. They beat the duo of FC ABRAMOVICH in an unexpected move on Kiddesvej. Ayman Dawud jumped from behind Thierry Jousselin and he was gone to finish solo on the Flegborg. A solid victory and a big purse of money. Manager Groot was all smiles when he received his

prize and applause.

  1 Ayman Dawud, SpaceRacers
  2 Thierry Jousselin, FC ABRAMOVICH
  3 Warren Farrar, FC ABRAMOVICH

In France we saw a less interesting race with Avataria beating the other Top division teams in Alpe d`Huez Classic. On the last climb all the favourites were together and two kilometers before the finish Ludvig kristiansen jumped away to win a flawless race.

  1 Ludvig Kristiansen, Avataria
  2 Euzebiusz Jastrz?bski, Nefal
  3 Juan Lozana, NECFTW

Rundt om Veijle deserves a place in a higher division! Otsukaresama desu. Apparently this doesn't accept Japanese characters.
