Norway Tour - a preview
by Finz, at 13/1-15 - 00:17 GMT

The biggest race in division three is about to start. Norway Tour has again nine stages where sprinters and climbers will battle it out against each other and against the elements. The best climber will win it in the end and the best sprinter will earn his jersey. Will we see the best young rider in Germany Tour one day, it could be. But the biggest question of them all is, who in the hell thought about starting the tour in Harstad. It is freezing in here.

   The Broad Backs

With a nice string of results and multiple national team selections Jaap de Witte is the big mane for The Braod Backs. His team spirit is very bad and needs some work. A rider that could do well but most likely missing that little extra due to the terrible team spirit. More entertainment for this team, please.

   depadvinders

From Laos we have depadvinders with Ariya Sayavutthi, the national champion, wearing the elephant jersey. A more then decent climber with support from some interesting teammates and a young Laotian for the downhill sections. Will Sengphachan Vongchiengkham watch carefully and take over the role as national champion?

   Grant Thornton

Canadian based Grant Thornton has many tours behind his name and is very experienced in riding them. With Douglas McKenzie they will try to win a jersey again. This time the Spriniting Classification. As most teams are climbing teams they might have a chance.

   Team Stekke

With Josef De Kelper Team Stekke has a great rider that can win in the big mountain stages. Their team spirit is decent and they need some good fortune but, if they can do it, then Josef De Kelper is a favourite for the tour.

   Cyclists

Second in the Monte Rosa Tour earned this team a spot in Norway Tour. With Chad Talkington they have a nice rider for this tour. Their biggest moment was in Switzerland though. Norway is the cherry on the cake, everything gained here is bonus.

   Manisaspor

Turkish team Manisaspor is most likely working for Senel Nedin, a rider well designed for this tour and his form could be the best there is. If he reaches topform and gets the support he needs from his teammates this rider will deliver a top three position for

Manisaspor.

   Bing Team

The young Elijah Rogasch will captain Bing Team again and will try to win a stage when the surroundings are flat and easy. This young sprinter could go for a good position in the Sprinting Classification and bring home a jersey.

   millskids army

This team will be riding with smiles on their faces, nine stages long. Leonid D?bkowski could try to earn some well deserved cash in the mountain stages but, having signed up for Norway Tour is the biggest achievement for millskids army by far. Welcome to the world of tour racing, Andy.

   TJ Banik OKD

The Italian team turned his faith into Czech cyclists. With Otto Landa they have a good sprinter and the team selectected for Norway Tour is here for one reason only. They Sprinting Classification, and he has a decent chance if he manages his form well, we think he will.

   Team Trier

Is Farley Redman too old. Yes, he is. Farley Redman you are an old man, and you have no reason to believe that you will do good. Team Trier will regret the moment he made you captain. I bet he will change it after this preview.

   Abelixe

The best rider with the worst squad behind him. Abelixe is sending Sebastiano Calero and he is all by himself. The rest of the team is not worthy of supporting him but they will do their best. A surprise Youth Classification victory, and the biggest suprise of that will be to his manager. He can not have hopes for this tour.

   Skrubb Cycleklub

Vsevolod Kalashnik could be an interesting rider for the mountain stages. He could win one or two and probably finish high in the General Classification. The lack of support will be crucial though. And we will not see this rider finish in the top three. A top nine is possible.

   iheb pro team

Ammar Zenagui has some interesting victories behind his belt and most likely arrive in topform. With that he could outrun all the other competitors and win Norway Tour. His team is decent but his team spirit is mediocure. Maybe it is enough, he could go for the big win

here.

   Szirmai Világos

An injury caused some serious damage to the expectations of Forgács Otto and salimami of Szirmai Világos. They could have done good but the injury has set their team spirit to below zero. The injury should be away when the race starts and we could see this team in front. Let us hope so, he could finish top three.

   sivac

This rider is going for the Youth Classification and sivac manager viki would sign for it. A decent climber from Ireland and an overall great rider, Connell Severo is the man that should do it for sivac.

   BCTeam

There are riders you have an interest in, no reason is needed and sometimes its even beyond explanation. Nari Iacone is one of them, he is good in everything but will never shine in one thing special. Yes, he can finish high, but not in Norway Tour. This rider could get a top nine spot somewhere, or be number ten.

   Allgäu

Will they go for Adi Engelberg or Heinz Gleisenberg. They will go for the Sprinting Classification with Heinz, they should, and that way they can earn some cash and victory points. Heinz could win a stage or two and maybe do good in the Youth Classification. Their form should be top.

   Ultras Spirit

Will Erik Williamson be in topform and defend his title. Rumour has it that he is, and that he will. The biggest thread to all other riders and with the support he brings a real challenge. Interesting thought, if he does win, we will not see him next season, if he does not, we will. What would you prefer.

   Silver Giant

Will the Burundian team Silver Giant go for another nice performance by their star François Gasana and deliver a stunning result. They could have top form and being the climber he is that means he could form a thread for all those that want to win the General Classification.

   tomba

The lucky loser of today is tomba. Last to sign up and with a nice rider in Anthony Soetens. If he is in topform the only thing lacking in this team is support. Their climbing team is not good enough to battle the bigger teams and will rely on a super leg day from Anthony Soetens.

  Written by Finz I presume?

Manisaspor at 11:13 13/1-2015
I am sticking to the old guy not the young one. The old guy will be in top form and the young guy will make an internship in Norway.

  nice preview, Finz.
(although I am not sure whether I agree with Heinz as the best option. He is a decent sprinter on hill stages but he may not good enough for the sprint classification in my opinion)

  We'll see what happens...
