Norway Tour - a preview

  After seasons of just the memory to this great race we finally see a new edition. Norway Tour is the big event in division three for many seasons to come. Starting in the north moving south with the final stage in Oslo we will have nine stages of Norwegian scenery and a big fight amongst the riders for the victory. Let us all enjoy this great tour again and, here are the teams;

   Team WonderDee
With Hartman Sandolin his Norwegian team is a favourite in their home team. With support from many Scandinavian teammates this team will rely heavily on the support of the supporters. A team and a captain to watch.

   Onie
Dutch team Onie is joining the Norway Tour with a team full of sprinters. Jacinto Aldeia one of their big sprinters and might be able to score some points in the flat stages. Or will they go for their favourite Victor Pardo.

   English Sprinting Team
This full English squad just returned from a ban and we hope he will behave here. The Norwegians are not really fond of foul mouthing people in their country. With Carrol Mullan they have a great English sprinter. He returned to his first team for a chance to write history.

   VC Botafogo
VC Botafogo joins with a strong Ukranian triplet. Gerasim Filatov is their main rider and he should do good in the mountain stages with the help of his friends Ubeysobakin and Morozov. With Tom Bella at home Filatov is able to shine here and maybe take over the role as leader.

   nonnies
Gracjan Sowa is in super form and he wants to win the first stage and the Bergen time trial. A great rider against the clock and the other riders of his team will probably try to jump with an early breakaway to get some live coverage.

   CCFC
Stale Thorbjornsen is the young captain of CCFC. This young climber wants to win the Youth Classification first and, the General Classification second. CCFC is a team who deliberately dropped for Top Division to division three to start in his home race and to win it. Fair, maybe not. Smart, yes.

   SilenceLotteFan
  Maruyama

Dai does not need an introduction. This Japanese superstar riding for SilenceLotteFan has already proven he can race in tours and above all, win them. How will he do in Norway where the mountains are a bit steeper then in Portugal. We will see but, we will see him up front.

   Auro team
Bernardo Mejia is the Spanish captain of Italian Auro team. A very good climber but he never wins a lot. His total lack of experience in the time trial will be his downfall in Norway also. A nice result in a stage or two is expected though.

   trackstah07
The American team trackstah07 is bringing a sprinter to Norway. Heriberto Radondo will battle the other sprinters for the flat stages and the final stage. This rider is very young and is the future of Spanish cycling. A competitor for the Youth Jersey, this year or another.

   mutants madrid
Sam Telkamp will lead this Danish team in the Norway Tour. He will need all the luck in the world to finish with the big guys because his climbing experience is not very good and his track record is not big with only three wins in his career. French Michel Archer can surprise in the time trial stages maybe.

   Treaty City CC
Abel Wilkin is all fired up for this tour and ready to assault the Youth Classification. He really wants to win this jersey and maybe even do good in the General Classification. A great rider but he should have brought with him some more support in the mountains. His present team can not support him enough.

   PEKAC B
With Cyrus Wyatt they have a sprinter capable of getting some points in the flat stages. PEKAC B is a team focused on one goal alone, the victory in the Sprinting Classification. They might pull it off because they do not have the best team the have the most focused team.

   Cykelmyggen
Just recently bought Antonio Gabbrielli will be tested already. With more then 800K one of the most expensive riders in the entire OCM, his manager wants to earn some money. This is the man to watch when you want to score points, follow him and pass him just before the finish and you have won the stage.

   POM

Wonderful
The second American team brings Yonnas Lelisa with him. A young sprinter, with the help of experienced veteran Aaron Bailey, who can win the Sprinters Classification. Will he be able to beat the big guns or will he have to wait another season before he can really win major races.

   Ultras Spirit
From Romania we greet Ultras Spirit. They have in Erik Williamson a great and young American rider that will be in top form. He will be supported by many top climbers in his attack to win Norway Tour. This rider is one of the big favourites to win this tour. Only disaster can hold him off.

   Britcycles
English outfit Britcycles joined late with a team focused on Dutch rider Karsten de Maerschalk. This climber brings in some support and we will probably see him in one of the climbing stages. He will finish a top nine here and there and with a good time trial maybe even a top nine Generall Classification.

   Team Jayco
From Australia we have Team Jayco, a team not often seen in the big tours. Will Casper Jill be able to help Gabriel North or will Casper Jill be the captain still at thirty four. Personally I would go for Jill as he knows what he is doing but, maybe we know less then Lachlan does.

   Joss
Third Norwegian team is Joss. And Joss is bringing Terada Kazuki and Friedhelm Kuhlmey as his main captains. Both these riders did great in tours before and can climb very well. They have raced in Switzerland already and maybe they still have some pains from there. A good solid top nine for one of them.

   Silver Giant
Silver Giant is the Burundian top team with Erik Van Engelen as their main rider. He should climb these Norwegian mountain well and he brings with him some support to stay with the leading men. A top nine finish in the Generall Classification is something they can aim for and with a result in a stage, that would be bonus.

   Pomada
Slovakian team Pomada has been around for a long time and they have in Radovan Tuharsky a great climber with them. He can do very good in the stages with the finish uphill but he lacks the team to bring the bacon home. They are betting on two horses with two sprinters in their team. A mistake.
