  Twenty teams have signed up for the 17th edition of the Nederlandse Tour. A tour that will lead the peloton through the flat and windy Netherlands. Can Carroll Mullan, Team Revolutie, defend his title? The teams:
  
   Cykelmyggen
  The goal of manager Klaus is clear. With not less than five timetrial riders, manager Klaus is aiming for a good result in the first stage of the Nederlandse Tour, the Groningen Prologue. The past has proven that a good prologue also means a good General Classification, so it might be a smart move of manager Klaus.
  
   California Mist
  Dutchman Gijsbert de Nooy leads the squad of California Mist. Besides De Nooy there is one other Dutchman in the team. Sprinter and top lead-out Niek Schaars will support Gijsbert de Nooy in his attempt to win the Youth Classification and in getting a good overall result. If De Nooy fails the team has a good back-up with Belgian number one Kristiaan Roels.
  
   ABK
  Last season ABK had a successful Nederlandse Tour. He got a second place in the General Classification with Alan Klostergård and a first place in the Youth Classification with Sebastian Dideriksen. Dideriksen is 26 years old now so he can not defend his ‘title’ of last season. Captain Klostergård will go for another podium and he has ‘The Beast’ as support.
  
   Legia
  Legia has also joined Nederlandse Tour with a prologue focused team just like Cykelmyggen. Did managers Klaus and qbo had contact with each other or is it the phrase 'Great minds think alike' that we can apply on this managers? Hayden Doohan seems to be the captain of the team, but that could change after the prologue.
  
   Rigana
  Current leader of the Swedish Tour Rank is captain of Rigana in this Nederlandse Tour. Jan-Olof Holm looks ready to compete with the top sprinters in the sprint stages. If Holm is able to go for a good General Classification depends on how well he will survive the prologue. Outsider for the prologue win is Holms teammate Rene Nergård.
  
   Wizzyweb
  Wizzyweb has entered the Nederlandse Tour with a strong sprint team. 25 year old Betrand Soetens is the captain of the team. With Santiago Dinis as lead out, the team has a guy who knows what it takes to ride a good General Classification. If Soetens is able to do ride a good General Classification as well depends on the prologue.
  
   Stroopwafel
  “I

take you to the candy shop, I'll let you……”…right….How Dutch do you want it? A Dutch team (named after a Dutch candy) joins the Nederlandse Tour with a Dutch captain while manager Menni is also the National Team Manager of The Netherlands. Youngster Menno van Dalen will lead the team and will try to score some points in the sprint stages.
  
   blast
  Blast’s Jan Thomsen might not be the best sprinter around, but with a prologue and a hilly stage he might surprise. Thomsen has proven earlier this season in Melbourne – Canberra G2 he still is a very good hill sprinter. If he can do well in the stage to Maastricht a good GC is possible. Thomsen will be supported by with loads of experience.
  
   Darkwave Recordings
  Most riders end their career around the age of 35, but not Kristoph Villumsen. 37 years old and still racing at the highest level. If Vilumsen fails in the prologue the team might decide to make Guðmundur Þórmarsson, who is very gifted with technique, captain. Þórmarsson is also able to do good in the hilly stage.
  
   radu
  Ronaldinho Viana has it all. Not just a the name, but also the skills to become a superstar like his namesake Ronaldinho was. Viana has some nice lead outs, with a special note for Tom Thoms. Tom Thoms is known for its navigation abilities through the peloton. He will lead Viana through the peloton without missing a turn.
  
   Luveaucek
  Just 22 years old but already captain in this Nederlandse Tour. Rudolf Matejka juvenility will be compensated by some of his lead outs. Damario Barba and Mikuláš Malina are both very experienced in riding tours. They will have a free role for the prologue but will guide Matejka in the sprint stages.
  
   nonnies
  After the deception of last year, manager aarin is back to take revenge. It looks like captain of last season Culvert Roberts had to pass on the captain role and became a lead out. But things can change after the 4 kilometer prologue through the city of Groningen. When Roberts does well it’s very likely he will become captain again after all.
  
   Dingetjes
  Dingetjes will need the ‘Scandi’s’ in his team to get a good result in this Nederlandse Tour. Sprinter and good hiller Didrik Jønsen is one of them. The other one is cobbler and sprinter Artur Helle. Jønsen is the better sprinter of the two and he will be the captain of the team. If Jønsen can score some money and points in the sprint stages the team can be satisfied.
  

   IGF
  A well balanced team has been send to Netherlands by manager Koen. Tyr Hermann seems to be the first captain of the team while they have a nice back-up with Hanneken Marant. The youngster is one of the favourites to win the Youth Classification. All by all the team has very strong lea outs that fit within the new lead-out roles.
  
   Nairobi City Cycling Club
  A lot teams must have been surprised when they saw that ‘NCCC’ signed up. The team normally lollygags around the top ten of the OCM-ranking but made a goal of participating in the Nederlandse Tour, and so he did. Hal Terrell is the captain of the team that is built around the timetrial riders of the team.
  
   CCFC
  Not the best team around, but the complete focus on sprinting might pay off in the sprinting stages. Abel Rebocho is the best rider of the team and therefore captain. The competition in the Nederlandse Tour will be hard like always, so Rebocho really has to work hard to score money and points for the team.
  
   thedutchies
  Manager TDOla has a small problem, two injured riders with one being, the two times Nederlandse Tour winner, Cadman Kantor. The second injured rider of the team is Aldis Renwick so it will be even harder for back-up captain Renato Buan to do good. Only three fit riders in support for Buan, it will be hard Nederlandse Tour for him and the team.
  
   EpoTopTeam
  The enhancement is surely something they need on EpoTopTeam. Not the best team around would be the understatement of the year. The team looks too weak for the sprint stages, the only rider that might be able to score a price or cherry is Brice Perry. Perry is in good shape so he might score in the prologue.
  
   TEAM SERFIN97
  Daniel Morissen is a Youth Classification contender, he has five lead outs in support as well a lead out with five names. Malaysian Adrian Why Kit Mohd Luftee has the honour to carry five names, we do not know how much this will contribute to his performance and the performance of the team captain Daniel Morissen.
  
   Team Revolutie
  Title defender Carroll Mullan is the captain although Team Revolutie could have started with six captains. A very strong team that contains a mix of sprinters, timetrial specialists and a bit of both. It is not the question if Team Revolutie will do good in the General Classifcation, it is the question how many riders of him will finish in the top ten.
