   Lisboa – Peniche

The Fado in Lissabon, that is one of the reasons I will return there when I have the opportunity. The World Tour race from Lissabon to Peniche is another one. A great division A race around the capital of Portugal through the hills and mountain that are laying around it. From the start it looked like it was going to be an easy race with the Portuguese in front. Germany and Poland failed to sign up in time and where absent in this race. Portugal failed to dictate the pace though and finally a group of riders, with all the favourites managed to get away. When Werner Bouma, Nairobi City Cycling Club, of the Netherlands tried to get away he was soon counter attacked by a British duo. England's Evan Tomkins, Gradient Levellers and Scottish Byron McVining, The Hippies. In the end Byron shook off Evan in the streets of Peniche to claim a first World Tour Division A victory for Scotland.
  With Evan Tomkins

in second and Werner Bouma in third.

   Stavanger – Hauge

The hills around Stavanger are very beautiful in the summer and attract many people from the city that want to escape the hustle and bustle from city-life. Once every season they are interrupted by many Norwegian cycling enthousiasts. Fans from all over the country want to see the World Tour race around Stavanger and Hauge. And they saw a great race this season, with a missing Japan. Unlike the Portuguese race, the Norwegian race saw a select group of favourites stay together until the last kilometers. It looked like they decided that the final climb was going to be the judge of them. As they waited and waited an inexperienced manager sent his man up front way too early and the rest jumped at him like sharks on a wounded baby seal. Brasilian Felipe Maximiliano, Oekiewakkie, was one of them that feasted on its prey. But at the finish line he was first passed by Albanian Bardh Shkreli, NECFTW, and then Jeff Renshaw,

sivac, from New Zealand. Renshaw was the top shark, claiming the Norwegian trophy.

   Aberystweth – Llanelli

Wales already had seen their annual tour and now the welcomed the first episode of their World Tour saga. With new comer China in their midst the absence of Puerto Rico and Luxembourg was not felt. In the end the riders were treated with many lush green hills, most likely inhabited by leprechauns and green fairies. In this division C race tactics are not really necessary. Riders try to get into a breakaway, some really want it to end in a finish and other just try to hang on. In the end it was the Swedish tactic that proved victorious, be quiet and suddenly be in front. It worked as Hanned Becker, Glamourade, was never seen but suddenly occupied the highest spot on the podium. He beat veteran Ipati Bizony, bonghetti, from Kazakhstan and Uruguayan Duardo Salgada, PEKAC B.
It was a good podium with three great riders receiving the Welsh applause.
