To Break Away, or Not To Break Away
by Itisix, at 1/11-09 - 09:34 GMT

Breakaway riders have never been take too seriously in the sport. In fact, there is a saying that if you are a good riders, the pack won't let you get away.
All in all that may be so, but there is no denying that it can be quite rewarding.
Team Jochem has been on the sport for only a short while, but already they made it to the top division. It's been quite a

rocket rise that noone would expect, even more so if they don't seem to have much talent to work with.
So how is this possible? They pedal like there is no tomorrow. Teamleader Jochem has to be the primal example on how strategy is more important than talent. 25 top results in less than one season. And mostly breakaways.
While Saša Kolar is tipped as their

front man, he never really gets a chance to sprint as someone else in his team will run ahead to take the win.
Out of all the results, the big one so far has to be Theo Meulemans taking on the Giro di Vicenza. Also, Jeremy Wieringh already got to be on the top 6 times.
Some time soon people have to take this team seriously or they will be beaten many times.
