Molde Grand Prix start at Bjørnsonsplassen. At Bjørnsonsplassen you find the stadium of local football team. Also located in the same area as the stadium, you find Scandic Seilet. With 16 floors and 82 metres, it is the tallest building in the town of Molde. The tower of the hotel has become a popular local attraction.
From Bjørnsonsplassen the peloton will follow Julsundvegen, they will have a beautiful view of the Moldefjord on there left hand side. But there is no time for the riders that want try there luck in a break away, to enjoy the view. The riders will follow the fjord 10 km west, before they turn right against Gauset. From Gauset the race goes North against Fanghol for 5 km. The route turns back north east against Frænfjorden and Malme. From Malme the riders have 8km to fight for there positions in the peloton, before they arrive at Årø Airport (Molde Airport). At the airport the riders got 6 km left, before they are back in the city center of Molde. In the city center Molde Grand Prix have five laps of 8km in narrow city streets.
The local round inside Molde will decide the winner of Molde Grand Prix. An allround type of rider got the best shoot of winning Molde Grand Prix. If not, it might be one of the riders that didn’t have the time to enjoy the view of Moldefjord.

Description
The terrain in Molde Grand Prix hardly includes any climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain includes a few hills and has an amount of average flat distances. The stage has a very easy and flat sprint, meaning that the stage possibly will end in a mass sprint. The route demands a bit of technique from the riders.
