The first third of the rest is ended at the 1st of 2 feed zones in Little Waltham. The race starts to flatten out as they ring round Braintree and Felsted as they start to make their way back to Romford. before they reach Feed Zone 2 at Chipping Ongar. The gradients can be testing at times, but nothing too powerful.
The races starts to fire up as they reach the hills of Billericay, the sprint teams will be working hard to catch the attacks from punchers. Whoever leads will find themselves back in Romford in a sprint, or celebration to the finish hoping they can go shopping $8.000 richer.

Description
The terrain in Essex Route hardly includes any climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain hardly includes any hills and has only a few flat roads. The stage ends on a small and easy climb. The finishing climb never gets steep. The route doesn't demand much technique from the riders.
