The departure usually takes place at the "Halle aux Houblons", a remarkable building built in 1867 and which should allow Haguenau to reach the rank of first international hop market. The race continues to the "Porte de Wissembourg", a vestige of the city's old fortifications from the 14th century.
Then, the riders will reach the town of Schweighouse-sur-Moder to then leave the Haguenovian urban fabric and continue in the surrounding villages. Time-trialists will be able to enjoy, in clear weather, the unobstructed view towards the Northern Vosges while crossing the villages of Ohlungen and Keffendorf. Riders will cross many hop fields to reach Niederschaeffolsheim (the longest village name in France) and see the German Black Forest in the distance.
The race will end in the city center of Haguenau, at the "Marché aux Grains". Teams staying in place after the race should be able to enjoy the local gastronomy.
