Giovanni Faulk (33), today celebrated his 9th win of his illustrious career in the Eryri Classic. The rider who has always been in the top divisions of OCM, is a fairly new addition to California Mist cycling team, having joined earlier this season from Die Tour Phantome.
When we signed him, there was much doubt around the community about the deal for the experienced American. “hes too old”, “hes not good enough” and “hes passed it” were a few of the comments which we faced. It was a move that we never had any doubts about, and feel the results hes achieved on our team justify this. Manager Knotts said “He brings vast experience which is benefitting the younger riders and they can only learn from him. His legs are still amongst the best around, and with performances like today shows he can still more than compete with the best.”
He is captaining the squad for the moment, and is a training coach for the squad. Sean Snow (a current trainee) had this to say “He’s an idol to me, and getting to work with him every day in training is great, and I’m happy I can help him win on the road. Anything I can learn from him is going to benefit me in the future.”
Faulks career with California Mist so far:
Gran Premio EEO –2nd 130pts 14k
Volta Ciclistica do Iguacu – 6th 60pts 6k
Bagno di Bomagna GP – 4th 80pts 10k
Race of Man – 5th 70pts 8k
Eryri Classic – 1st 130pts 16k
= 470pts 54k in 32 days, having joined on Day 51. Not a bad return for a rider who’s passed it, and can’t perform, especially in Zyte division. We feel this shows why we paid the price we did to secure his services, and now consider it as a bargain.
We also want to take this chance to wish our former captain well at his new team Dingetjes. Roels will always be a legend here in California, and we hope one day he will return. For now, we hope he can provide results for his new squad, and fire them into the Top Division.

Nice results. Hope the old geezer can keep going and win some more races for you!
(I wish I was an "old geezer" like he is. lol)
A few more and we can change your name to the Beach Boys :-)
Will do :) he was going to be recharged, but Ive decided to just keep racing him.
Another oldie could be arriving with a negotiation ongoing for Oswald Hudler (GL)
Keep the old man spinning.
