Following recent success, Red Brigade Cycling Team has decided to open a new merchandise shop. In addition to jerseys, canteens, hats/caps and t-shirts, the shop now also has team bibshorts available. Soon, the streets will be flocked with “the Red Brigade”!
Over the course of its existence, the team has achieved twenty podium finishes. Nineteen of these results were accomplished within the last two seasons. The team’s leader Lai Ruilong was responsible for most of these results, having won 7 races in the last two years.
The team’s twentieth result was particularly special, as it was the “coming of age” of the second home-grown Red Brigade rider. At the age of only 22 and still being in his first season as a professional cyclist, Gerard Cygan was the third rider to cross the line in Monaco. Team manager DaanVA was ecstatic after the race, stating: “We decided to give him a chance to lead the team in this race. I’m so proud! We’ve worked with Gerard all season to get him up to this level and I believe that he is capable of even more. For now I’m just happy that he stepped up and showed the world that he is ready to take his place at this level. In the future we will make sure that Gerard gets as many chances as Lai when it comes to leading the team.”
Cygan himself was a lot more down to earth about his performance: “It was nice to get the chance to show myself at this level, but I’m especially happy for the team. I was able to bring in the 20th podium finish that the team was look for recently. For me it wasn’t that special. I knew I was able to do this and I’ll be looking for the win in upcoming races.”
At Red Brigade CT, the rise of Gerard Cygan is seen as the start of the next phase of the team’s development. To celebrate costumers get a free team cap when they buy a complete team outfit (Limited time only)
We hope to welcome you soon to our online shop!
