After the most successful season in the young history of USA team, California Mist, which has seen them reach the Top Division for the 1st time, hold a position in the Top 25 teams in the world, Be the No 1 team in the USA, and North America, and have the No 1 rider in the rider points ranking (Kristiaan Roels), management have decided to get rid of the older riders, and replace them with younger fresher faces.
Departing will be Clement, Damm and Schaars. We thank these departing riders for there great service to us, and wish them well in the remainder of there careers. They will have 1 last chance to achieve wins at there respective new teams, and we are confident they can do this.
Also leaving will be young hiller Donny Daniels, who only arrived with us a short while ago. He was bought in a deal to bring Calwaert to us, and unfortunately hasn't adapted to the team. He will be moving to new US team (who were linked with), HOFC, where he will be there captain, and help them get results in the lower divisions ----- Note, link is I'm mentoring HOFC manager----
Now for the arrivals, firstly will be sprinting superstar Etienne Brandt from QSM. The young Belgian was spoken highly of by Roels and were happy a deal could be agreed. It is a big money move, and he becomes our most expensive rider ever by a long way. He will be given leadership responsibilities, which he will share with Roels and De Nooy based on who the race profile is more suited to. Another Belgian who has arrived is Jules Van Caels, who we spotted on the hire list. He has shown good potential, and will be trained in the coming months, although as yet were unsure as to the direction to take with him.
The last new arrival is a temporary replacement until we can sign another younger rider, and that is Gasco who has signed from Ultrajectum. The team, who are disbanding agreed to sell him to us, at a fair price and were happy he wanted to come. He brings the experience to help us in the short term, and is a solid leadout sprinter.
So after all these changes the first team for next season will be:
Roels (Captain on even sprint profiles)
Brandt (Captain when high SP is required)
De Nooy (Captain on more hilly routes)
Ingarro (Leadout)
Calwaert (Leadout)
Gasco (Leadout)
Trainee: Van Caels
Aims for season 26:
Vejle-Kobenhavn - Brandt (TF) (Top 3)
Norwich-London - Brandt (TF) (Top 3)
Cymru/Essex - De Nooy (Top 9)
Netherlands - Roels/Brandt (Top 9)
Stay in the Top Division
Carson Shannon (PR Manager)
