Team Fritzyhat are in good spirits this evening following their promotion to division 6 following Bob Winch's excellent performance at the Ringkøbing Enkeltstart time trial. This was the teams 3rd victory in as many time trials and helped increase the teams points haul to over 300 in less than one full season's racing. "We have a fantastic inaugural year, better than any of our expectations. Our riders are blossoming into a superb team with hidden skills and talents coming through to give us un-imaginable results" said the team manager Fritz Hatman. "Considering we had a slow start to our team career, this season has been trail-blazing with our first victory in the same race we achieved a 1-2-3, and now to be promoted to the 6th division, it is well beyond our wildest dreams. And believe me I have had some VERY wild dreams!" Hartman joked.
When asked of the future plans Hartman was his usual modest self -" I do not know what the future holds for the team. The competition we face going forward will be stronger and the teams far more experienced than ourselves. The best I can hope for is we continue in a similar vein gaining points where ever we can and carrying the momentum forward." And are there plans to obtain new riders? "Not this season, no. I am very happy with the riders we have at the moment and we have barely scratched the surface of the skills of this team. Of course our team leader Ebenezer (Carrick) has the potential to develop into a phenomenal rider and, to be honest, we have a few other hidden gems in the team. Another of our riders has a great chance of developing as a first rate sprinter. We aim to start training him in depth before the end of this season." When pushed on the identity of this rider Fritz refused to budge, citing not wanting to put excess pressure on the rider.
Well done Fritzyhat and good luck in the 6th division I’m sure you will approach the challenge with no fear and a brave heart!!!
