We are very happy that Filippus Sijmonds signed his contract renewal. But this was not the only news in the board room of Toma Pro CST. Sijmonds also announced his program until the Volta a Porto, because this will be his main target. His goal is to get a top 9 result and we as the management of Toma Pro CST are willing to help him with that! Sijmonds signed a new contract for the upcoming two years.
This will be the program which Sijmonds is going to ride;
55, Kolari - Muonio (FIN) ***
59, Juberri - Canolic (AND)
63, Rio Pico - Gas Nac (ARG)
68, Epuyén Climbs (ARG) *
73, Morelia - Mexico City G2 (MEX) ***
75, Critérium La Provence G2 (FRA) ***
84, Ajaccio – Bastia (FRA) ***
2, Salt Lake City GP (USA)
8, Porto GP (POR) ***
9, Ainet - Bruggen (AUS) *
12, Pisa – Pistoia (ITA) *
17, Volta a Porto (POR) ***
*** Are races he wants to ride for a result
* Are races he wants to ride for practice
As you can see him aims at the weekend of day 73 & 75 with to races which fit his skills perfectly. A week later he will ride the Ajaccio-Bastia which is in France, this race will suite him well to, but it could be that there are to many flat parts in it. After a trip overseas in the cold of Salt Lake City he will return to ride the Porto GP and pick up the feeling of the Portuguese roads! This is also the last race were he aims for a result, the other two races are only to become in perfect race shape to get that top 9 result in the Volta a Porto! The only concern Sijmonds has is if the teams stays in the Zyte Division and will the manager sign up on time!
There also could be some shuffling in the program because of the new team spirit feature or some trainingcamps when Sijmonds thinks that he need those. We, as Toma Pro CST, support him all we can!

Sihimonds could win nearly all of those events if he tried hard enough and stayed in top form. But I see why he is mostly going for the Volta as that is one of the major races of the division.
Then he can win the Volta for three times, maybe more if he's a bit lucky! ;-)
is it worth training him in that? hes 29...=/
I know, without TT Centre he doesn't stand a chance! So I'm now saving money, see how hard that goes, already 855$!
then he would do well in the tour!! without TT he will never come top 10..
If I have the money for it I'll try! Then he he's 52 TT and a average of 53 I thought!
you need TT centre?
It's very hard to say, I will see that tomorrow in Climbs of Pinchor and then i'll let you know! Batenburg does it better but I thought he wasn't as good as Sijmonds, maybe less competition then. In Cymru Taith he didn't finished with the first 30 while he was captain. Maybe the stages didn't fit him, but for Volta I really aim for a top 9 with him!
nice! :) im building a very similar rider, how well does he do in that division? on average..
