Porto Podium for Rodda

Written by Velo Kiwi at 04:31 28/6-2016

After a disappointing ride last season Rodda pulls the rabbit out of his cycling helmet in the final TT to come third at this season's Volta.

It was not a spectacular tour, but effective in the end. "I was off the pace the whole tour" said Rodda. "I am riding well but others were just riding better". Rodda's best placings came in the mountain stages, but there his best stage was 4th. "To be honest in the last TT I rode to my best but I was lucky with riders ahead of me having either mechanicals or dreadful rides."

Rodda is not complaining however as it give VK guaranteed entry into next year's Porto. "We'll give Mils a rest now and reassess later in the season" said VK Manager David.
