Tibor Molnár, born in Lieskovec, a small village near Zvolen, loved cycling all his life. He watched it on TV as a little kid, he always went to see live action of Tour de Slovaquie with his father, always at the finish line several hours before arrival of the riders, just to secure ideal position. He even talked about becoming a cyclist, but that was pretty much all he did for that, because, let's be honest, Tibor did not like physical activity that much. And his mouth was practically the only thing quite well associated with cycling, so he was very comfortable around riders, when he went to talk to them after races or practice. He spent all his free time with them, and after several training sessions he was even allowed to be in a car with coach. His theoretical knowledge of cycling became so overwhelming that from what was a little nuisance and an object of jokes at the beginning, became a quite respected scholar of cycling. But to even expand his contribution to the team, he signed up to study psychology at the Comenius University in Bratislava, and now is helping the whole team to deal with off-days and mechanicals, and keeps the moral high during injury recovery.
But one day after a quite big celebration of tour success, when he had more alcohol than blood in the system, Tibor agreed to take a test of potentials to see how he would compare to the real professionals in the team. And his results became legendary not only in Lokomotíva, but also around the world. Here you have them:
CL: Small
DH: None
HL: None
SP: None
FR: None
CB: None
TT: None
TQ: None
So Tibor became the worst rider ever to sign a contract with a pro team. But everybody in Lokomotíva is in love with this guy for his “non-physical” contribution, and wishes him all the best.
