Riders will weave through Florence’s historic streets and the rolling hills of Chianti, creating a race that rewards climbing specialists and aggressive tactics.

The race begins in the heart of Florence, with a neutralized start near Piazza del Duomo, offering riders and spectators a view of the iconic Florence Cathedral.

Once the peloton exits the city, the battle begins as the road pitches upward into the Tuscan hills.

The first major challenge is the Fiesole Climb, a 6 km ascent averaging 5%, but with sections that ramp up to 10%. Its narrow roads and sharp corners make positioning crucial.

After a technical descent, the route takes riders into the rolling countryside, where a series of uncategorized climbs sap the legs and create opportunities for early breakaways.

Midway through the race, the peloton faces the Monte Ceceri, a short but brutal climb with gradients exceeding 15% on its steepest ramps. This is a natural springboard for aggressive climbers looking to shake up the field.
