The time trialists warm up next to Pirita marina, which provides picturesque views of many parked yachts and downtown Tallinn cityscape for the TV coverage. From the start ramp the competitors pedal towards narrow Tallinn streets, passing the first time split near the ancient Toompea Castle.
The riders start to suffer when crossing the second checkpoint, St. Olaf's Church, once the tallest building in the world. As they return to Pirita via a costal highway, a motivated rider will summon the watts to become the winner. The crowd loudly cheers as TT specialists finish at the Pirita velodrome.
