The land of Parmesan cheese, ham and good wine will be the theatre for this race that every year brings the Italian fans on the side of the roads, shouting to help their favourite riders in their seek for glory.
Start line is in the very city centre of Parma, just behind the Duomo, in the historical main streets.
The race then has the riders cross the other two cities famous for food in the flat plain, Reggio Emilia and Modena, before heading to the most demanding part, the up and downs on the hills surrounding the Emilia Romagna main city, the old great Bologna.
The riders that will be able to make the difference there will be forced to push without raising their head in the flat road that will bring them to magical Ferrara.
Here the peloton will have to go round the walls of the city before the last final effort that will allow only one man to raise his hands after the finish line in Viale Cavour, right in front of the Estense Castle.
