Kilkee - Limerick starts in the small town of Kilkee. Kilkee is famous for its cliffs and diving. The race then heads towards Limerick. The 98km race will go through a hilly landscape amongst fields. The peloton will pass the Shannon International Airport on its way to Limerick. On entering Limerick the riders will pass the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) stadium Gaelic Grounds before entering the final climb. The end of the race will be a steep finish just outside Thomond Park - a stadium hosting both rugby and football teams. The stadium has also hosted many big concerts and many international matches for Ireland's rugby and football teams. The rider who manages his power the best recieves the Richard Harris Trophy.
