The race starts in Hwange, a town in northwestern Zimbabwe. Hwange most famous for one of the biggest mining disaster in Zimbawean mining history, lies more or less 100 kilometers from the finishing town of Victoria Falls.
En route, the riders will ride through grasslands, where wild animals still roam freely. The race on occasion being neutralized as a result of elephants crossing the road.
Having successfully traversed the perilous grasslands, the riders will see mist on the horizon as they approach the town of Victoria Falls. The mist coming from the Victoria waterfalls, the largest waterfalls in the world.
As the riders line up for the sprint, they will have to have their passports ready, as the sprint takes them across the mighty Zambezi river into Zambia, where the winner will raise his hands, the thundering roar of the waterfalls drowning out the applause from the local crowd.
