Holbæk rundt starts at the city centre of Holbæk. The riders then cross the Munkholm bridge before heading to the feared hills around Maglsø and the Brorfelde observatory.

The riders will do three laps of ten kilometres around Maglså. Each lap has three hills, Algestrup (500m, 8%), Maglesøbakken (350m,11%) with a maximum gradient of 16%, and Brorfeldebakken (700m, 6%). From the last hill there is just 15km left of the race. This makes it is possible for a small group of riders to stay ahead of the peloton but some times it will end in a mass sprint.
