With a long list of great winners in teams like don hamstre team and Team Kernow, it this mountain classic must be a nice one on your palmarès.
Starting in Schio, a village close to Vicenza, which is known for its rich history and culture. After only 5 kilometers, the first climb, the Monte Santa Caterina starts, which is 10 kilometers with an average gradient of 7%. Perfect for some riders to sneak in the break away. After a difficult descent, there is a long, flat distance until the Monte Tresche Conca starts, which is longer than the first one (16 km), but not that steep, only 5%.
After another descent, there will be a third climb, the Monte Fontanelle, which is 9 kilometers long à 6%. For the outsiders, this could be the ideal climb to attack and get an advantage before beginning the finishing climb.
And this isn’t just a climb. It’s the famous Monte Grappa! A terrible climb with an awful length of 19 kilometers. The average gradient is 8.1%! It remains steep up to the last meters, which will ensure that only the strongest climbers in the race will battle for the win in this epic classic.
