Nikolaj Nørgård peerless in Gros Islet - Vieux Fort

With lovely weather in Saint Lucia, all the riders were ready to do their best in Gros Islet - Vieux Fort - and som certainly did. Harry Fjeld from team oskar L hansen went away from the peloton after only 19 km.
The peloton kept the tempo high, and Harry Fjeld slowly lost his lead. When the peloton reached him, after 19 2 km, Nikolaj Nørgård (Bensworld) and Klas Møller (None) launched a counter attack. Harry Fjeld's first attempt didn't stop him from joining the break away, which afterwards slowly increased the lead.
When 10 km of the stage were left, the three riders in the break away were quite sure to go all the way to the finishing line alone. Their thoughts later became doubts, as the peloton got closer and closer. On the final kilometre, the 3 riders could see the peloton behind them, as they gave everything they could.
Klas Møller launched an attack, which Harry Fjeld easily countered despite his hard work on the stage. For Nikolaj Nørgård it was a littler harder to follow, but later he simply proved to be faking. Klas Møller couldn't follow the new tempo set by Nikolaj Nørgård, and neither could Harry Fjeld. Nikolaj Nørgård safely sprinted to victory and raised his arms while crossing the finishing line. Behind him, about the length of two bikes away, Harry Fjeld was slightly faster than Klas Møller, who seemed to have no more power left after trying to attack earlier.
Nikolaj Nørgård was happy for his efforts today. It was a tough day today, but with the result of it, it suddenly feels like nothing. I'm so happy I won today. I didn't expect it at all, said the pleased winner.
Ben C, manager of Bensworld, was happy with the result: The whole team did well today. Everything turned out as we hoped, and luckily, Nikolaj Nørgård was the strongest rider out there today. The proud manager didn't hide that he was satisfied with Nikolaj Nørgård's result. Nikolaj Nørgård did well. No one deserved the victory more than him. He put his focus on this stage long ago, and he kept his motivation high. I'm happy for him and the team, said Ben C.
