It was poised to be another quiet, solid season, but three events turned it everything upside down:
* Finally, Andeby came down to his senses and accepted and extremely bloated offer on our side for Giancarlo Morlua. Not that he's not worth that, but probably very few people would have paid that for that rider. I don't expect to make half of that money back, but if he pays me back with a couple Helsinkis, we are even. He's the best sprinter this team will ever have.
* (this will explain the later) we hit 2 TS sponsors in a row.
* What started as a meme run for GT SC, due to an extremely lucky combination of events, ended up as a memorable victory.
Also, maybe in a couple of days we are crowned best sprinter team of the season, which is usually more of a sign of other key players having somewhat disappointing seasons, rather than an indicator of our team performing any good.
Points 1 and 3 were what put our team on the headlines, but the real MVP is point 2. Sadly, all this came at a price: Leif Johannesen and Radko Kindl, probably our 2 most talented leadouts, had to leave our team.
For S64 our plan is to repeat our meme run just to prove ourselves it was sheer luck, maybe try Morlua without TF in Helsinki, and I hope our real shot at something is Coopmans in Vuelta, hopefully not hampered by off days. Grab some points with Antonov to try to break the 10k points mark, keep racking good results with Tomoaki, and maybe Sukkar tries his luck at Copa. Let's see where this goes.
