S57 - Déjà vu and a National Jersey

Written by Totalidade at 19:26 6/8-2021

  The Season
This Season was very similar to the previous one both in points and results.

We had another shot at Odyssey of the Oryx, where Átila reached in top form. Unfortunately he couldn't win. The Tour was still very satisfactory: YC, a stage win and a bunch of results.

It's unlikely we'll return to the tour the next season but we hope to win it eventually.

Dang Zhijun who finished his training during this season become Co-Captain and managed to nab the China National Jersey. We expect great things from this rider.
He wasn't able to participate in Fast on Wheels but it's a long term goal.

Goals for next Season and beyond
Besides defending Dang Zhijun National Jersey there aren't many goals for next season.
Depending on the division, we might participate in some tours but the team isn't going specifically for one.

The team will stop training riders for the foreseeable future and reinforce the team with staff and teammates from the market instead.

Current count is 7 trainees in 3 Seasons. The minimal is a trainee a Season and we're far above that(lifetime).

It was a good battle, but as Velosipedska says, your time will come.

Congrats on the second Oyyx YC! Really like this team, just 9 riders but 2x 54 AV, and the lower AV have decent stats where it matters for teammates.
Caetano and Zhijun are only 25 and 24, they will be really strong contenders in mid-tier division tours when they reach ages 27-32...
