La vie en (Monte) Rosa

Written by Un Deux Trois Racing at 11:03 3/4-2015

Just an update on the start of the season. It's been a bit of dry period with no wins since Uttendorf - Matrei in Osttirol. Although this lack of wins has been compensated by Marco Ziani's 2nd place on YC at the Monte Rosa Tour behind a flying Miroslav Arbenz. The latter made a strong display in his home country by finishing in the top 3 in 4 out of 5 stages. Ziani believes that with a little extra TT training and top form that he could have contended with him, but I have told him that he has done is more than perfect for the team. I would also like to wish a speedy recovery to Walter Lelièvre who crashed on the second stage.

On a more personal note, I have recently been contacted by an old man named Barthélemy Lebelge. He claims to be my biological father. If this were the case that would make me Belgian, meaning that I would have to reshape the team towards the cobbles. Until he has proven to me that that is the case we shall remain a climbing team and Ziani will focus on getting some wins this season.

  Je vous souhaite bonne continuation,
François Lefrançais (ou peut-être Lebelge) - Un Deux Trois Racing

Compete in hill races, more variety. I think sprinting is the discipline that offers more tactical options. Good luck with what you decide.

I feel a bit bored with my climbing team at the moment, it's not very tactical. The only reason I haven't sold my riders yet is because of Ziani, I don't really want to see him go.

You have a brilliant captain, that's half the struggle for most teams, built around him. Why not trying to go up till Division 3 and compete in VCK classic.
