The Dragon Head is happy. Happy with the results achieved by the team this season. He even went as far as to say that this was a Milestone Season.
In fact, he may even be right. After 6 seasons of fluctuating between Zyte and Top scoring between 1000 and 1800 points, the 2110 points scored this season, combined with a solid position in the belly of Top are an improved result.
Furthermore the Triad leadership is also celebrating the notable achievement of a rider scoring more than 1000 points in a season. They are very pleased that the special substance treatment received by Spartak Astankov has paid off.
Alas, not everything is rosy in the Opium Den.
This season was a very turbulent one, with many internal clashes between rival Triad factions about the future plans of the team. One of the casualties of the fights was long time cobble captain Rodolfo Gomez who was put on sale after the Cobble faction lost some influence. However in the following weeks the Cobble faction regained some power and forced the signing of cobble veteran Sam Velasquez. He is not as strong as Gomez was, but his signing is a sign that the Cobble faction won't go down without putting up a fight.
Disturbingly, the internal fights are not the only thing that worries the Dragon Head. He was to face with a team that is growing older by the day. In an attempt to curve the aging, the team signed 21 y.o. Emanuel Uffenbrink, but was he only signed to sweeten the look at the team's average age or will he be able to contribute to the team's success?
Difficult times lie ahead of the team. Which faction will prevail in the internal strides? How badly will the aging riders affect the team's performance?
