He finished Giro di Montelbano as the runner-up twice, Cymru once, and finished Fast on Wheels and Cymru Taith in the third place once. This totals up to 7 podium places for Taggart and 6 more top 9 results from five different tours throughout his career: Essex Tour, Cymru Taith, Giro di Montelbano, Perm Tour and Kangaroo Tour.
Taggart started his career in the Welsh team Dreigiau Pro Cycling and he was registered at the age of 21 as a great TT-talent. He was born to be an incredible time-trialer and his climbing ability at puncheur abilities made him a potential time trialer and tour rider. This led one of the perennial top division teams Andeby to acquire Taggart for 160 K despite being untrained. Next season Taggart showed his talent at the Malbork TT ending it as the runner-up behind Aubrey Vaden. Taggart scored some top 9 results in the Top Division during the next few season s but his debut season as a big start came in Season 38 when he was only 24. Starting the season with strong performance in Giro di Montelbano, finishing it as the runner-up in the GC only 6 seconds behind the eventual winner Pareds was only a foreshadow of his biggest achievement despite winning the YC. Taggart won the 38th edition of the Essex Tour, ahead of Armando Silveira and Demy Alards also bringing Andeby, the youth classification jersey.
Bringing home 3 jerseys including the Yellow of the Essex he was deemed as the one of the best time trialers of his generation and projected to be at the spring of a great career. “Taggy” as dubbed by Andeby as such was made available for sale, in order to open the path for Adonis Laurenço, another great time trialer at the team. Johny2, one of most successful teams of the OCM history bought him for a heft 540 K despite not being TT-centered at the time but his next destination was DCM. The first season in DCM was nowhere near winning three jerseys but Taggy was only able to finish 7th in Cymru Taith, in his home tour and 9th in Essex with an only few additional time trial results. This season started Taggy’s frequent team changes, leading him to jmtoler, a successful American TT-oriented outfit notorious for his frequent team-sales. Taggy had his first podium result in Cymru Taith, in his home hiller/TT tour finishing it as the runner-up. Just few days after the Cymru podium. Taggy raced in the Russian Perm Tour in Season 41 finishing it in the 5th place. In season 42, he finished Giro di Montelbano second for the second time while finished the Kangaroo Tour in the fifth place. Entering his thirties, now becoming a veteran, Taggy was content with the 5th place in Cymru, once again failing to win his home tour. Signed by Fighting in the early Season 44 at the age of 31 Taggy finished Fast on Wheels in the third place therefore got a podium result in four different tours. In Season 45, Taggy returned to Andeby, the team which brought him to to the world scene finishing Essex Tour in the eighth place.
Taggy’s last transfer was moving to Manisaspor for 325 K, the Turkish hoping to win its first hilly tour with Taggy at the fall of his career, at the age of 32. The next season Taggy failed once more at his home tour, finishing Cymru Taith in the sixth place. The next season he was prepared better but this was only enough for the 3rd place fourth top 9 and second podium result in Cymru. In season 48, he missed any tours and scored only few top 9s. The Welshman declared Season 49 to be his last and decided to give one last shot for his home tour Cymru Taith and brought a movie-like closure to his career with a great result in both Bangorian moors and the Newport ITT winning Cymru Taith for the first and the very last time in his career.
