Nick Boezeman was born with a big appetite for the ladies. What else could one expect from a boy that grew up in Kuttingen, the southern tip of the Netherlands. It sometimes got him into trouble. To escape possible punishments he had to use his bike and speed through the surrounding, hilly landscape.
Being well-trained in that field of work he was picked up by the local outfit Puma Pro Cycling. Unfortunately as adolescent he didn't seem to have his natural drifts under control. A real scandal made him flee to Quick step minded (QSM) in Belgium.
That was a mistake as QSM was fairly known outside Belgium too. So soon after installation he was recognized. After his discovery QSM didn't want to burn their hands on this youngsters with a record. Apparently other managers thought alike. Until Team Oasis showed up.

Team Oasis much liked that Boezeman was at heart a true connaisseur of 'rolling hills'. Especially of those that swiftly followed each other and have a deep dip. It had all the ingredients for a perfect match. Boezeman had to stay far away from the Netherlands and in Iran he could make use of 'Sigheh'. The latter is great way to stay out of trouble.
For many seasons Boezeman had been a loyal helper. Due to his overall capabilities he was send to captain in Elias Márquez Invitational, which he won three times. He was allowed to combine that with the World Championship where he surprised with a nice 5th in Season 42 (also finished 8th in S37).
It opened the opportunity for him to shine on somewhat older age in Vuelta a Valparaìso. His 5th in the GC was decent, but in no stage he left a real impression behind. Manager Nooky Lair saw in that the confirmation that Boezeman had become a bit too old. So he returned to the loyal helper role until his retirement in S47. He currently still resides in Iran, enjoying many short-period romances.
