A humid and wet experience for the peloton around the Parána Plateau will provide many occasions for breakaways as the route goes up and down for the next 185 km since the start Foz do Iguaçu. At one part of the stage the Peloton will cross into Argentinian province of Misiones before returning towards the finishing line in Curitiba.
For the leading group the Serra do Mar (Mountain Range of the Sea) in the rocky hills surrounding the finishing city of Curitiba will be the test of the day as sharp difficult ascents on the hills will lead to the finishing line. Attacks will be fierce and super legs will be required to gain that gap sending one rider over line as the winner of this season’s edition of the Volta Ciclística do Iguaçu.

The terrain in Volta Ciclística do Iguaçu includes many climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain includes an average amount of hills and has no flat distances. The stage ends on a tough climb. The finishing climb gets steep from time to time. The route isn't technical at all.
