In the Norwegian wild fjords, one of the toughest events in OCM across all divisions takes place when the riders race from Sykkylven to Stranda.

Sykkylven has long been the center of the Norwegian furniture industry, while Stranda’s claim to fame is the production of Grandiosa, Norway’s most sold frozen pizza.

From the start at sea level the first climb of the day is up to Fjellsetra at 1,035 m. The tough descent can also pose a major challenge for the less skilled riders. The riders will pass Stranda once going down to Hellesylt, before taking a turn back to Stranda again.

The epic views to the Geirangerfjord can take the breath away from most, but the strain on breathing is even worse in the final climb of the day. Only the absolute strongest are excepted to be left fighting out in gradients averaging 10% for the last 12 km.
