The terrain in Samtredia - Bakhmaro includes many steep and hard climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain has no hills and has many very long and flat distances. The finishing of the stage is a very steep tough climb giving many possibilities for the best climbers in the peleton. The route demands a bit of technique from the riders.
