Back to Sagunt through secondary roads, the race is pretty technique, and it finishes in a thrilling ascent to the castle, where a small paved section and the high percentage ramps in the last five hundred metres decide the winner. After the effort, the riders are rewarded with a fantastic view of the Mediterranean coastline from the top of the castle.

The terrain in Sagunto - Castillo de Sagunto has no climbs and has only easy downhills. The terrain hardly includes any hills and has many flat and straight roads. The finishing of the stage is a very steep tough climb giving many possibilities for the best climbers in the peleton. The route is very technical. The roads include very hard and tough cobblestone paves.
