Ronde van de Stedendriehoek is a traditional race in the Netherlands and starts in the city of Apeldoorn in the province of Gelderland. The race was created to show the cooperation of the six municipalities in the Stedendriehoek cooperation. The route of the race is very flat and has no hills, climbs, cobbles or downhills. The race starts right beside the Marktplein in Apeldoorn and afterwards it goes ahead to the city of Deventer, but first the peloton will pass the towns of Steenenkamen, Twello and Teuge. After they have cycled a lap in Deventer they will hed south to Zuthpen, after visiting the towns of Quatre Bras, Gorssel and Epse. After a lap in Zutgpen they will again hed back to Apeldoorn. And on their flat way to Apeldoorn they will pass the towns of Hoven, Appen, Voorst and De Kar. When entering Apeldoorn they will enter the east side and will for the pass the velodrome Omnisport Apeldoorn that was built in 2008 and in 2011 hosted the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. Then they will hed up to the Het Loo Palace from the 1680s and then we can see wich rider who can handle the sprint the best. Then the winner will achive the trophy that is a silver plate with a map of the six municipalities in the Stedendriehoek cooperation. The trophy will be given by the mayor of Apeldoorn.
